Bright Harbor Interactive

We're a small game studio in Halifax. We make our own little games, and we help other teams get theirs out the door.

Co-development

Most of our week goes into working alongside other studios. Usually that means taking a chunk of a game off someone's plate: a set of levels, a feature that's been stuck in the backlog, a port to a new console or PC storefront, or the long tail of polish before launch.

We work best embedded with your team, in your tools and your repo, with one of us joining your stand-ups. We're about 40 people, so we can usually spare a pod of 4–12 for a few months.

We sign NDAs happily and we don't talk about other people's projects, which is why you won't find a list of them here.

Our games

In between client work we make small, cozy-ish games of our own.

Out now · PC

Low Tide Lanterns

A short puzzle game about guiding lanterns home across a harbour before the tide turns. About three hours. It was our first game and it shows a bit, but we still like it.

In development

Gullwatch

A small village-management game where you keep a seaside town running through one long summer. Early days. We'll share more when there's more to share.

Jobs

We don't always have openings, but we're usually interested in gameplay programmers and level designers. Hybrid in Halifax is ideal; we also have people fully remote across Atlantic Canada.

Send a note and something you've made to jobs@brightharborinteractive.com. A link is better than a big attachment.

Say hello

Got a project you need help with, or a question about one of our games? Email hello@brightharborinteractive.com and one of us will get back to you, normally within a couple of days.
